The Sony 85mm f/1.4 GM II Lens

I've been a Sony camera user for years, and over that time, I've tried countless lenses. Some have been great, others not so much. But the Sony 85mm f/1.4 GM II stands out as one of the best lenses I've ever used.

I was fortunate enough to have Sony send it out to me before they released it so I could use it for whatever I needed to use it for and it happened to be during the time I was creating my 10+ hour ZV-E10 II Film 101 and 202 course.

At the time I needed a lens that could produce amazing video headshots with great looking bokeh, and the 85mm GM II delivered on both counts. The images were sharp, the colors were vibrant, and the background blur was simply breathtaking.

One of my favorite memories with this lens was during a headshot session I did on a rooftop. 

We were shooting outdoors on a sunny day, and the light was absolutely perfect. I used the 85mm GM II to capture my headshot and was shocked at the final product. The image almost looked fake. The autofocus was incredibly fast and accurate, and the image quality was exceptional. The footage looked great, and I was able to achieve the exact look I was going for.
