It's essential to know the fundamentals while filming, that's why I created this Osmo Pocket 3: Film 101 course. Start to finish, I will guide you on how to quickly get started and then apply what you have learned to any lighting or real world situation you find yourself in. My curriculum here at the Film Alliance University will always be aimed to helping you make your videos hold up against the high bar set by today's creators.

I've been collecting these tricks from real-world scenario and client based situations for years. They have helped me craft my videos ahead of the curve, and now I'm sharing them with you.

HERE'S WHAT YOU GET:

The entire OP3: Film 101 Course consists of the following:

  • All 10 modules consist of curriculum showcased with real-world video examples that are designed to get you up and running fast, including:

Module 1: "Introduction to my Course on the OP3"

Module 2: "Unboxing and Overview"

I unbox the OP3 and give tips about each accessory and an overview of the OP3's layout and framework.

Module 3: "Initial Setup"

I show you I set the OP3 up to walk out the door and get some cinematic shots.

Module 4: "White Balance"

This is where our foundations lie in achieving balanced video colors as we dive into real-world situations.

Module 5: "Shooting in Bright Sunlight"

This is one of the most common situations you will find yourself in, so you need to expose the OP3 correctly.

Module 6: "Shooting In Low Light"

The OP3's 1-inch sensor allows us to shoot in night/low light environments, so you need to know how to expose for these situations.

Module 7: "D-Log M"

When you know how to shoot in D-Log M, your videos will instantly skyrocket in production value. I will show you how to correctly expose and color grade your D-Log M Footage.

Module 8: "Backlit Shots"

Another common situation creators find themselves in is filming backlit shots. Don't fight it! Ill explain...

Module 9: "Stabilization"

The OP3 lacks vertical axis stabilization, so it is critical to practice making your footage look like it is floating through the air. This will give the illusion of gimbal like footage.

Module 10: "Conclusion"

This is my huddle before the football game. As most of you already know, my first real camera was the Osmo Pocket 1, so the Osmo Pocket series is near and dear to my heart. Class is dismissed and now it's time for you to get out there and start banging out some bomb content. The sky is the limit.
